History

A well-known decision-making process, Coordinated Resource Management (CRM) started as a way to deal with conflicts that arose over range land and livestock issues, with the first collaborative problem-solving group formed in 1949 near Richland, Washington. Since then, it has been very effective in resolving diverse natural resource issues in various local settings throughout Washington. CRM is now a nationally recognized process, and is supported in Washington through a Memorandum of Understanding signed by major state and federal regulatory and resource management agencies.
